Minkyu Kang is an award-winning director, screenwriter, and editor based in the United States and South Korea. He directed/wrote/edited/produced short films, TV commercials, documentaries, and art videos, which have been selected and screened at 80+ international film festivals. 

Minkyu's most recent short film, Children of Light, won the Grand Prize at the Director's Guild of America & the Focus Features Award for Social and Cultural Impact, NBR Student Grant, and Norman Strauss Prize. It’s also finalisted for the 2023 BAFTA Student Awards and the 50th annual Student Academy Awards.
